FranÁais

As my camera does not leave me, and as I rarely rest for very long, here are some shots from wherever we both went. This is a collection from late spring to early September 2001, in Europe.

May-June 2001

This section contains a visual diary of the time during these 2 months when I was not busy planning my accelerated move out of San Francisco into homelessness. Swiss Alps, Provence, sailing in SF... 26 photos.

Corsica July 2001

A small island South of France, known for its smelly cheeses (loaded with maggots), its black baklava covered terrorists, its dead emperor and its exquisite geography. 40 photos.

Pyrénées July 2001

A minor mountain range South-West of France used to help identify the border with Spain. After a week of hiking with 6 Kg of camera stuff on my back on top of the usual gear, here is what I have to show for. 64 photos.

Lake Parade Geneva August 2001

How the good people from Geneva "show their attitude" by dancing to techno music blasting from trucks slowly moving on the Leman lake shore. 55 photos.

Black & White

Who says you should not do Black & White with digital images ? Those examples were converted in Photoshop by performing calculations on the appropriate channels. 12 photos.

Barcelona

Gaudi buildings and stuff, Miro and contemporary art museums, street life, animals, reflections, shops... The only thing missing is late nights. 40 photos.

August 2001

Random places in France, mostly photography with kids. 34 photos.

Perpignan

Staying in Port Vendres and meeting friends in Perpignan for the fantastic Visa pour l'Image photojournalism festival . 16 photos.
